32 Weeks

How far along?  32 weeks...just two months until she's born!!  I can't believe how fast it's coming now!
Maternity clothes?  When I have to leave the house.  Around the house, biker shorts are my best friend #yesistillownbikershorts #sorryi'mnotsorry
Sleep:  I've had a hard time getting my breathing under control when I lay down.  I guess Jenna just really likes snuggling up to my lungs or something, so Jacob and I tried sleeping on the recliners for a night to see if it would be better...big mistake.  Everything was weird.  It was....I can't even...all I can say is everything was weird and disorienting and it was a huge mistake.
Best moment this week:   Um, would it be sad if I said that it was when I made brownies?  Our BSF group was having an ice cream social so I made brownies to bring...and kept like half the pan at home to eat for myself.  And that was my favorite part of the week.

Miss Anything?  Seasonal beers.  I had a dream that I got to drink a Cheer Beer this week and it was awesome.  I'll have to buy a pack to save until after she's born :)
Movement:  Constant and I love it.

Food cravings:  Um...food.  All the time.  I feel like I am constantly starving!  I was talking to someone this week who said, "Oh yeah, you better go get some lunch and feed that baby!  Although, you're probably not able to eat as much these days!  Your stomach is probably the size of a walnut!"  I was so surprised that I just agreed to avoid looking like a total hog, but in reality wanted to tell her that my stomach was actually probably about the size of a Chipotle burrito and that I was about to go consume one (or two) right then...
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Been feeling fine!
Have you started to show yet:  Yes...one of the students I was subbing got really offended on my behalf when someone else asked if I was having a boy or a girl.  Out of curiosity I asked what exactly he thought my giant belly was if not a baby and he said, "I don't know, too much junk food.  Or maybe you swallowed a watermelon."  Great.
Gender:  Girl
Labor Signs:  No
Belly Button in or out?  Still half in/half out.  I'm starting to think it's just going to stay like this...
Wedding rings on or off?  Off :(
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy

Looking forward to:  I get more pictures of Baby J at the doctor tomorrow!!  I just love seeing her move in realtime, and I'm EXTRA excited about it because I can feel her all the time now.  I can't wait to see EXACTLY what she's doing to make my belly look like it's doing the wave all the time.

31 Weeks

Or the size of a Big Fat Ugly...lol
How far along?  31 weeks...I figured it's about time we officially share the baby name with everyone!
Maternity clothes?  Oh yes.  Most of my regular shirts are getting way too tight.  SO thankful for the maternity clothes Christina gave me!!
Sleep:  Lots!  Jacob and I each had a night this week where we said "Well...I think I'm going to go to bed now" and then realized it was 8:00. Womp womp.  We're old, but I love it.
Best moment this week:  This is weird but...cleaning out all the closets in our house!!!  We needed to make room for all of our baby stuff and so I got to purge out all of the junk that's been building up in the house for the past 3 years.  It was GLORIOUS!  AND the baby room is actually starting to look more like a baby room and less like an office.

Miss Anything?  I really started to miss wine again this week.  We were hanging out with some friends and everyone had a glass of wine or beer except for me...although I'm pretty sure that's why I was able to dominate everyone in Quirkle.  I guess that's a plus to being the everlasting sober sis.
Movement:  She moves a TON, and I've noticed it's especially when we're sitting in church.  I'm hoping that means that she's going to LOVE learning about Jesus, and not that she won't be able to sit still through a sermon....

Food cravings:  So. Much. Chocolate. It's. Disgusting.  Disgustingly awesome.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  A couple more light sensitive days, but a nap with the blinds drawn usually takes care of it
Have you started to show yet:  Yup, feeling huge
Gender:  Girl
Labor Signs:  No
Belly Button in or out?  Half awkwardly protruding out and half stubbornly staying in.  I keep thinking it will even out but honestly it just keeps getting worse.  This is out of control.
Wedding rings on or off?  Off again.  Oy.  I can get them on, but trying to take them back off is getting ridiculously and alarmingly difficult.  Maybe I'll try again in a week, but in the meantime I'm back to wearing the old purity ring...
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy.  We had a TON of time with friends this week, so there was a lot to be happy about :)

Looking forward to:  HALLOWEEN!  Because it's awesome to buy giant bags of Butterfingers, Reeses, and Kit Kats and then pretend to be surprised when only like 8 kids actually come to our door for trick-or-treat  #youngestpeopleinthehood  #candytilchristmas

30 Weeks

How far along?  30 weeks...I can't believe I'm 3/4 of the way through!
Total weight gain: 25 pounds...I was really expecting worse after all the Portillos and pizza and party foods and snacks on the road this weekend.  Even if I had gained 10 pounds, I would have no regrets!!
Maternity clothes?  YES!  I got a bin from Christina and it has been HEAVENLY having jeans and more shirts as an option!
Sleep:  Great great great!  I've been sleeping like a rock...especially during our 24 hour long car ride back to Texas.
Best moment this week:  Being in Illinois with our friends and family!!!
We were blessed with two BEAUTIFUL showers and it was sooo good for the soul seeing everyone and being able to spend time with them.   Plus, it was great to be in Illinois seeing all the leaves just starting to change.  As my homegirl AOGG [Anne of Green Gables] says, "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."
Miss Anything?  Always always turkey sandwiches...
Movement:  Yes!  She's been doing these little flutter kicks.  Future swimmer?  Or if they're punches...future tae bo-er?

Food cravings:  Anything and everything sweet.  Chocolate covered pomegranate? Yes. Taffy apple? Yes. M&M's picked out of a giant bag of trail mix? Yes, even though Jacob got really mad about that. Basically I have very little self-control when it comes to sweets and my life is SO much better for it
Anything making you queasy or sick:  I started getting really sensitive to light at the end of the weekend and it was making me queasy...maybe the baby isn't the only one who is half-vampire?
Have you started to show yet:  Giant belly says yes.
Gender:  Girl
Labor Signs:  Nope!
Belly Button in or out?  Almost all the way out!
Wedding rings on or off?  Off for a little while, but that was mostly because of the huge amount of french fries and cheese I ate this weekend.  Probably also because I ate what was hands down the best burger I've had in my entire life here and washed it down with some curly fries and fried Oreos. Sausage fingers the next day? Yes.  Regrets?  No way.
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy!!

Looking forward to:  Babies being born!!  In particular, my walking buddy is due any day now and my sister is due just a hop skip and a jump after that!  I've had SO many dreams about Stacy having her baby.  Sometimes weird ones like when it actually turned out to be a girl and they named her Dezugini so they could call her "Zeegee."  What??  But obviously I'm thinking about it a lot and I can't wait to see what he looks like!!!

29 Weeks

Did I write my letters squashed to be artsy, or because I struggle with the concept of evenly spacing things out and the letters S and Q are really hard to make small?  I'll let you decide.
How far along?  29 weeks
Maternity clothes?  Not many, but I'm going to be borrowing a bunch from Christina tomorrow!!  And not a moment too soon...about 90% of my shirts are officially unable to cover my stomach and I cannot WAIT to have some maternity jeans as an option!

Sleep:  So much better!  I love that I can actually sleep on my "back," even if it means sleeping somewhat sitting up
Best moment this week:  One of the students I was subbing this week absolutely cracked me up.  He was obsessed with the fact that I was pregnant.  Our conversation included incredible moments like him pretending to journey into my stomach to show my baby pictures of dinosaurs, him telling me to back up away from the door because "that thing is a fire hazard!" and him telling me that "big bellies are the BEST kind!"  Come on, who doesn't love to hear that?

Miss Anything?  Turkey sandwiches, still.  First stop after Baby J is born...Jimmy John's!
Movement:  Big time!  She loves to kick/flip/push around...every time I say "She's kicking!"  Jacob has taken to yelling, "I'LL KICK HER BACK!"  Just watch, I'm going to end up with a super aggressive child and this will be why.

Food cravings:  Apples!  I've finished like an entire gallon of applesauce this week.  Also, chocolate.  In a way, I'm relieved.  This eating fresh fruits and veggies on the reg has been a nice change of pace I guess, but viciously unleashing myself on a helpless giant bag of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (thanks Hannah) is really much more aligned with how I pictured me being pregnant.  Plus, let's just say I'm really looking forward to fellowship night at BSF tonight...for way more than just the fellowship (please someone bring brownies?)
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope
Have you started to show yet:  Obviously...my baby bump is big enough to be labeled a fire hazard
Gender:  Girl
Labor Signs:  No...my upper stomach muscles were cramping up at one point, but I think that's just because Baby J was wedging herself up in between my ribs.  She has my whole abdominal cavity to hang out in, you'd think she could find a less painful place to chill for the day
Belly Button in or out?  Almost all the way out!
Wedding rings on or off?  On again!! Let's hope they stay on, especially since it's cooling down!
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy...since my sleep habits have improved it's made it a lot easier to keep my emotions in check, no matter what my husband says about toast

Looking forward to:  Going up to Illinois!!!!  I can't wait to see my friends and family up there...AND this is really the PERFECT time of year to head to the Midwest!  Hello, fall foliage!

28 Weeks

How far along?  28 weeks
Total weight gain: 22 pounds...thank goodness, I really thought that they would tell me that I had gained like 50 pounds and would have to eat lettuce for the rest of my pregnancy.  A nightmare on so many levels...
Maternity clothes?  These tank tops from Target are the best thing to ever happen to me.  I never want to stop being pregnant so I don't ever have to stop wearing them.
Sleep:  Oy.  Nothing good to report here.  I absolutely could not sleep this week.  I was waking up multiple times a night and was unable to get back to sleep.  I've been waking up having to pee, waking up starving, waking up uncomfortable, waking up from bad dreams, waking up from good dreams...ugh soooo tired....last night I slept at more of an angle and was able to sleep mostly through the night so let's hope that continues!
Best moment this week:  BFF time with Christina and the boys!!  We went to this indoor playground near North Star called Funtastic Playland.  Such a great place for little kids to run around (it had a pirate ship AND a castle.  whhhaaattttt??) and give the grown ups some time to talk!  Spending time with them was good for the soul :)

Love those boys!!
Also, I got my first autumn sighting here in San Antonio!!!  I was walking out of my doctor's appointment and saw a bunch of yellow leaves on the ground.  I kept walking but looking around trying to find where they came from...and walked straight into a palm tree.  Embarrassing.  But awesome.  AND Jacob and I got to talk to Matthew on the phone this week!  He's been at boot camp, but his platoon has been consistently performing the best so they got phone privileges as a reward.  It was great to talk to him and hear firsthand what he's been up to!
Miss Anything?  Cold turkey sandwiches
Movement:  Sometimes she kicks so hard that it moves my entire body.  Ok, maybe just the top half, but still.  I might be growing a half-vampire half-human baby...just call me Bella Swan.  Here's hoping my delivery goes better than hers

Food cravings:  Eggs!! I eat them ALL the time.  Also, I think I've mentioned this before, but pickles!  We were heading over to a friends' house and all I could think was "I hope they have pickles..."  Random.  Plus, of course, anything sweet.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not really, and I'm SO thankful that phase is over
Have you started to show yet:  Absolutely!
Gender:  Girl
Labor Signs:  No more contractions!  Having a couple days off work was good for me.  Not that I sat around eating bon bons...I actually got a lot done and made a lot of progress clearing out our front room to make space for baby!!
Belly Button in or out?  Slowly but surely making its way out...
Wedding rings on or off? ON!!!  For like a day, but still I was SUPER happy to have it on again.  I miss my ring!
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy, but with not sleeping this week, I've also had quite a few emotional sneak attacks.  Everything from crying while over at a friends' house to getting into a fight with Jacob about toast...I wish I could say it was an isolated incident, but this is (humiliatingly) the second time we've gotten into a fight about toast.  (Quote from a bewildered Jacob: "I just had no idea you liked toast this much."  and a tearful me, "I do, I just really love it.")

Looking forward to:  The temperature continuing to drop...it is beyond lovely
